GETTING INVOLVED

Leave a Legacy

Leave a Legacy

Could you support Barnsley Hospital Charity with a gift in your Will?

Thanks to the gifts we receive in Wills we are able to go the extra mile in supporting our patients here at Barnsley Hospital. These donations are very important to us and enable us to fund research, develop new ways of working and purchase state of the art equipment.

All gifts enable us to make a difference. Whatever amount you choose to give, we pledge to use your donation so that it has the greatest impact for our patients and leaves a lasting legacy in your memory.

Leave a Legacy

What type of gift can I leave in my will?

Supporters who consider leaving something to us in their Will usually do so in one of three ways:

  • Residuary gift – once you have provided for your family and friends, you may wish to leave a percentage of your estate to Barnsley Hospital Charity (this can be to a specific area).
  • Pecuniary gift – you may wish to specify a fixed sum of money to leave to the charity, which can be ‘index-linked’ so the value is maintained in line with inflation.
  • Specific gift – you can leave a valuable item such as artwork, a ring or a house.

Every gift left in a Will, however large or small, makes a huge difference in helping us to improve patient care. Your lasting gesture means patients and families, and our staff and volunteers will benefit from your support in the future.

If you already have a Will in place but wish Barnsley Hospital Charity to benefit in some way; this can easily be added with a codicil. A codicil is a way of making a change or addition to your existing Will without having to redraft the Will completely. Your solicitor can advise on this.

The details below are required in all Wills written by a solicitor. Executors will find this helpful when ensuring any gift left to NorthCare Charity reaches us.
